FAQ
Questions, answered.
The short versions of what people usually ask before trusting a workspace with their thinking. The legal pages carry the long versions.
What is Myellin, exactly?
Myellin is a private workspace that combines structured notes, connected knowledge, spaced repetition, visual boards, voice capture, and reusable AI workflows. One place to capture, understand, remember, and reuse what you learn.
Who owns my notes?
You do. Myellin does not claim ownership over your notes, flashcards, or prompts, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
How does the AI work? Do I need my own key?
AI features run against providers you connect — OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini — using your own keys, stored in an encrypted vault. That means your usage is billed by your provider under your account, and Myellin never resells or marks up AI usage.
What happens to my data if I stop using Myellin?
You can request deletion of your data at any time, and privacy requests are handled through the contacts on the privacy page. Nothing is held hostage.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The notebook editor is mobile-aware — including voice dictation — and the web app installs as a PWA. A dedicated desktop app and the Clipper browser extension are also available to beta members.
Is Myellin available in my language?
The interface ships in ten languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Arabic.
Can I share my notes with others?
Yes — any note can be published as a clean, read-only share page with a link you can revoke at any time.
Is it really free?
During the private beta, yes — the complete workflow, with no card required. If paid plans are introduced later, the terms will be published before any paid access is required.
